Gabriele Dusi is a young "fingerstyle" guitarist born in Verona in 1994. Since he was a child he was fascinated by music, and at the age of 9 he began his studies with Mauro Meneghello as his teacher. Started with a classical guitar, his passion soon moved to the electric world. At the age of 14 he was already part of a rock local band,playing live on the stages of events, clubs and festivals in Verona and Mantova. During his studies he followed a method which embraced all the different music genres,from rock/ metal to jazz/ blues. During this period, he was able to master different theoretical and technical skils by participating to lots of workshops with both italian and foreign musicians, such as Luca Pasqua, Carl Verheyen, MikeStern, Franco Rossi, Robben Ford, Paul Gilbert and many more. After  10 years of studies he got his degree in Electric Modern Guitar by the Accademia di Musica Moderna in Miland. Since then he keepsplaying on electric guitar, but with much more interest in jazz and blues music.Once he finished his studies he started soon a teaching career, that goes on still now, with an averageof 30 students every year.It's just at the age of 22 that he get's into the fingerstyle guitar techniques, inspired by artists asTommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed, and the italian musicians Alberto Lombardiand Franco Morone.After mastering the fingerpicking technique Gabriele knows he has found the most natural way for himto express himself through his instrument. He starts as soon as he can to rearrange jazz, blues andpop songs, and to write his own compositions. After a short time, the video of his arrangement of "thePink Panther theme " gets the interest of Lorenz Zadro, owner of AZBlues, and founder of the eventBlues Made in Italy. The two establish a friendship, which culminate with Gabriele's first discographicproject, an album called "Startin' Point". Released in 2018, his album receives soon good reviews fromthe press and the public. It's also thanks to his new love to the acoustic guitar, that Gabriele gets as ifinalist to the prestigious contest ADGPA in 2017. year in which he plays also on the stage ofAcousticology Music and Theatre, sharing the stage with Ciosi, Vincenzo Zitello and Monica Bulgarelli.In 2018 he plays live at Maxwell Street in Imola, with other artists as Mimmo Mollica, Paul Venturi andThe Big Blue House, e than at Blues Made in Italy, sharing the stage with a great number ofinternational artists.In 2018 he partecipates also to the Touscany Guitar Camp, with Andrea Valeri, Francois Sciortino andMichael Fix, musicians with whom he can refine his technique.In September 2019 he won the first place in the prestigious contest New Sounds of Acoustic Music,organized in Cremona during the Cremona Acoustic Guitar Village, receiving a beautiful Acus 6T amp asPrize.In his Broadcast and live sessions he could also share the scene with: Jury Magliolo (XFactor 2008finalist), Kevin Magliolo, Enrico Zapparoli (Modå), Matteo Sansonetto, Manuel Tavoni, Alberto Paderni(Gianni Morandi's drummer), Mario Insenga (Edoardo Bennato's Drummer), Cristiano Gallian, GiovanniFerro and many more.Realizing his Album and having so many grateful moments would not have been possible if it wasn't forthe guitars of Paolo Cavallaro, Luthier based in Sanguinetto (V R). The two got to know each otherthanks to Lorenz, and Gabriele fell in love with his guitars as soon as he tried his first.In 2019's summer Gabriele Could play a short tour in Bremen and another one in Siracusa (Sicily),starting back with his teaching and his live performances in northern Italy after going back home.
